Purchased
I don't know about you Guys, but I am really into orange lipsticks and... good deals! MAC Cosmetics was running a promotion on their website by offering $10 off your $50 purchase and since the first time I ordered from MAC website, I have never seen them offering any discounts, therefore I knew I couldn't ignore such an awesome deal and decided to get two things from their super pretty and colorful MAC X Chris Chang Collection.
MAC X Chris Chang Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder & Lipstick in Vermillion Vee
MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder
I am a sucker for beautiful packaging and I've always wanted to try Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Pressed Powder, so I am super happy that now I get to use it in its lovely packaging. As for the product itself it is my first pressed transparent setting powder and I definitely love the mess free application and also the fact that it's hard to overdo it. I use my Sigma kabuki brush to set my face with it by gently pressing the product onto the skin and I really like that after I swirl my brush in the powder it doesn't pick up too much product, like it often happen to me with lose translucent powders. It sets my makeup very well and keeps it in place for many hours. Since I got it I have been using it everyday!
MAC Vermillion Vee Matte Lipstick
I am a big fan of all kinds of orange lipsticks. I think orange toned lips are fun, bold and just add radiance to the whole face. Vermillion Vee is a gorgeous, matte finish, redidish orange shade. It glides smoothly on the lips and it feels very comfortable to wear. MAC matte finish is definitely my favorite when it comes to MAC mattes (retro matte finish tends to be a bit more drying on my lips). I did a little comparison below with my other two beautiful and bold orange lipsticks.
If you Guys want to check out my full review on these Tarte Mai Tai one you can find here and Maybelline Craving Coral here.
MAC Vermillion Vee, Tarte Mai Tai, Maybelline Craving Coral
I am not sure if you guys can see from the swatches above, but from looking at the shades today in a day light, I can say that MAC Vermillion Vee is more of a cool reddish orange. Tarte Mai Tai on the other hand has definitely more yellow undertone to it and it is a warm orange shade. Maybelline Craving Coral is the most settled orange shade and also least pigmented, but still bright enough. All three lipsticks are creamy mattes and I love how great and comfortable they feel on the lips.
