It is my first time trying Models Own, a fashion and drugstore makeup brand from the U.K. and since I love matte lipsticks today I will be doing a short review of their Lix Matte Liquid Lipsticks in shade Coral Fresh and Berry Cool.
Both colors are beautifully pigmented with Coral Fresh being a perfect Summer lipstick with its bright coral shade and Berry Cool, a tad darker, berry-wine colored one that I already know I will be loving in the Fall.
When it comes to texture, I am used to a specific, more of a drying finish when it comes to matte lipsticks so I really like that Lix Matte Liquid Lipsticks have almost a mousse-like one which glides on smoothly and even with the darker Berry Cool color, lip liner is not a necessity.
I usually like to apply a thin layer of color and the lipsticks stay put for a few hours and don't feel drying, which I think is because of the mousse-like texture. These lippies also have a nicely refreshing mint scent to them, which I like a lot.
