Sultry Smoky Eyes Tutorial using Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette!

Sponsored post for Urban Decay through Condé Nast

Urban Decay came out with their new Naked Smoky palette this month and as a total beauty junkie and fan of the Naked palettes collection, I couldn't wait to put my hands on it. I already have Naked 2 and Naked 3, which are my go-to palettes everyday, but since I never got Naked 1, which seemed to have more of a darker shades in it, Naked Smoky was definitely the one I couldn't wait to have in my collection.
Naked Smoky contains twelve eyeshadows, nine of which are completely new shades and three are exclusive ones. You have a beautiful shimmery, champagne shade called High which I use on my eyes inner corners, as a highlight and as well as all over the lid color for daytime makeup.  My absolute favorite is shade called Armor, which is a gorgeous grey shade with silver shimmer in it.  I really like the fact that this palette offers shimmery, satin as well as matte shades, both with warm and cool undertones which give a great variety of colors to play around creating your perfect smoky eye look.

1. I started with applying an eyeshadow primer all over my lid up to my crease. Then using a blending brush I applied Whiskey (a matte, warm brown shade) to my crease.
2. Next, I gently patted Dager all over my lid and then using blending brush I slowly blended it with Whiskey until there were no harsh edges or color differences in between both. Then I reapplied Smolder to increase the color intensity.
3. I applied Smolder to my lower lash line and blended it gently with High which I also applied to my inner corners. I didn't want the smoky eyes to look too shimmery, so for my brow bone highlight, I opted for a matte Combust shade.

And that is the finished look!

Summary:
If you love wearing smoky eyes, Naked Smoky is a fantastic eyeshadow palette for it. You can create a very subtle to a very dark and intense smoky eyes look and still enjoy a great quality and rich pigmentation of each eyeshadow. I am sold! <3

Gosh I feel like the worst blogger ever having never owned a Naked Eye Palette!

I struggle so much with wearing eyeshadows though, I have one green eye and one blue, so i always feel as though eyeshadows make that look worse. Always been a cat flick eyeliner kinda girl!!
