20s Skincare Must-Have: 40 Carrots Carrot + C Vitamin Serum Review

Purchased
It doesn't happen very often that I end up in the situation when I am running out of my skincare cream or serum. I do switch up products constantly, so it's pretty rare for me to finish up a bottle or container in a short period of time. As I am getting ready to pack and move to our new place next week, I start going through some of my skin products and noticed that I was almost out of my favorite and super affordable face serum - 40 Carrots Carrot + C Vitamin Serum.

I've purchased this product at my local Marshalls when I was looking for a new face serum packed with vitamin c and retinol. I remember few days before that I read in the magazine what 20 something skin needs (I am going to be 28 this October) and those two ingredients were listed as the must-haves for your skin. 40 Carrots Carrot + C Vitamin Serum is packed with vitamin c, retinol as well as it's paraben free so it seemed like a perfect product to try out.

My 40 Carrots Carrot + C Vitamin Serum Review
At first I was pretty skeptical about this face serum because it cost only few bucks , but as I start using it on daily basis it quickly became my go-to everyday face serum.  What I love about this product is that it clears out and evens out my skin. It helps with dark spots and make my pores look smaller. I like to use it either before going to sleep as well as in the morning and I can really see the difference. This product reminds me a lot of my another beloved skincare staple  Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator  when it comes to how my skin looks like afterwards.  Another great thing about this serum is that even though it contains Retinol it does not dry out my skin. To be completely honest with you, I could go on and on about how much I love this serum and what a bang for the buck this product is. I haven't tried any of their other skincare products but I am already ogling their eye gel with carrots and cucumber.

As a side note, this product contains retinol so just make sure you do a small test on your skin before applying it since some people skin might be sensitive to it.

When it comes to availability and price, I saw that you can get 40 Carrots Carrot + C Vitamin Serum online for around $12-$13 but I actually paid around $6-$7 for mine at Marshalls.

And what is your favorite face serum at the moment?

Happy Thursday!
