Fall Beauty Steal: Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Paint Palette Collector's Set Review & Swatches!

 Purchased
Fall is a very exciting time when it comes to makeup as different brands come out with their holiday collections and if you are a makeup and beauty "enthusiast" ;) you know how hard it is to keep sake and not just buy everything. I've been reading and checking on different upcoming releases this season but when I saw this Tarte Tarteist Paint Palette Collector's Set on Ulta, I immediately fell in love. I am not going to lie, I love a good deal too and this beautiful set is valued at $381 and it cost only $49.

I own many Tarte palettes and recently I've realized that most of my makeup palettes are from this brand, so I was super excited about possible good quality and nice pigmentation. I was aware though that unfortunately very often these holiday sets tend to have a bit less of a good quality than the regular line products. I couldn't find any review nor swatches online and there was a similar Tarte product available on Sephora that had pretty bad reviews, so I was skeptical, and in worse case scenario, ready to return this item if it didn't meet my expectations.

First thing that caught my eye was super cute and quality packaging that this product comes in. It is very handy and travel friendly and has a side drawer where you have the blush/contour and highlight as well as deluxe sample of mascara, Tarte's lip paint and a very soft eyeshadow "paint brush". I got rid off that clear plastic and it turned into a great storage space. The mirror included is probably my favorite part because it's big enough that I can see my entire face as well as it's sturdy and good quality too.

BLUSH/BRONZER & HIGHLIGHT REVIEW

When it comes to pigmentation and lasting power I will start with the blush/bronzer and highlight trio. All three swatch very sheer but are easily buildable on the skin. Funny thing was that I was not very impressed with the highlighter's swatch on my hand but absolutely loved it on my skin. It has that subtle pink-lilac undertone and it looks beautiful on the skin. Very subtle but you can definitely see the glow. Usually Tarte includes very wearable blushes in their palettes and this one is like that as well. Just the right amount of pink color. The contour shade is a matte bronzer which is already a plus and it blends nicely and it's buildable as well.

EYESHADOWS REVIEW & SWATCHES

I absolutely love the color range they picked for this palette. I am a neutral shades kinda a girl and this palette offers beautiful range of neutrals starting with the lightest mattes,  going towards satin and shimmery middle tones, ending with rich and dark browns, purples and more.

The first two rows offer gorgeous mattes, metallics and shimmer neutrals. Mattes work great as browbone colors as well as all over the lid shades. I like to blend out my darker crease eyeshadows with some of those lighter mattes. Abstract and Stencil are my favorite out of these!

The last two rows have more edgy and bolder shades but Tarte still included few mattes like sepia for example. To me personally, all the colors scream Fall and Winter so I am super excited to wear them this season. I thought Gotic was just a simple black matte shade but Guys, it's actually blackish green color, I am super stoked cause I don't have anything like that in my collection.

Eyeshadows Quality & Pigmentation

Now the most important answer to the question about the quality of these eyeshadows. Like I've mentioned in my instagram post, I was very skeptical but to be honest with you, I couldn't be happier with this Tarteist Paint Palette Collector's Set. Eyeshadows feel creamy and are easy to blend out. The lightest mattes don't swatch the best but this happened to me before with most of light colors like that. Metallics as well as shimmers are richly pigmented and are gorgeous.

Today is the second day I've been rocking some of these eyeshadows on my lids and they look great and stay on for long too with just my concealer on, not even the eyeshadow primer. The blush/ contour and highlight trio swatch a bit sheer but they do go on your cheeks, so I would rather build up the color then end up with too much product to deal with. I love, loooove the highlight shade, it looks  super pretty on the skin in my opinion.

Overall, in my opinion this is a fantastic set and I am so happy I got it. Yet another product from Tarte that I love and will definitely end up using on daily basis.

Next on my list Lorac Mega Pro 3 or Anastasia Makeup by Mario Palette. Still haven't decided!

And what holiday collection have you decide to get?
