Purchased
It's been a while since my last Real Techniques makeup brushes review and to be honest with you I am not quite sure why because the quality for the price you pay is pretty awesome and Bold Metal Collection is just absolutely stunning looking!I've been drooling over this collection for a while now but it wasn't until my recent visit to Ross where I saw this essential brush kit for almost half the price ($29.99!) that made me want to purchase it and I am so glad I did.
I usually try to not over-buy makeup brushes that I know I probably won't use too often. I do have my favorite brushes that I am using on daily basis and I am quite picky about their shape and feel and things like that. I did need a new blush brush though so I was excited that I could find one in this brush kit.
Real Techniques Bold Metal Collection Essentials
Real Techniques Bold Metal brushes are absolutely beautifu. I couldn't get over the fact how much I love the look of these as well as how soft and fluffy the bristles are. This essential kit only comes with 3 brushes but they offer more styles on their website.
103 ANGLED POWDER
This is the largest out of the three. 103 is super soft, fluffy but dense enough and I think makes for a great bronzing brush. It is a bit too big for contouring in my opinion but it will work very well as the all-over glow bronzing brush.
300 TAPERED BLUSH
I didn't expect to like this brush so much but it is my favorite out of the three. It works awesome as a contour, blush as well as highlighter brush. It really does a great job at blending the product onto the skin as well as distributing color evenly. I highly recommend this one!
200 OVAL SHADOW
I love 2 in 1 eye brushes that you can apply the eyeshadow with as well as blend it out. This one reminds me a lot of my Sigma E25 brush. 200 Oval Shadow does a decent job at both so it's a great brush to have, especially if you do not like carrying too many makeup brushes in your collection.
