Microdermabrasion at home with PMD Personal Microderm!

This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own

In the past year or so, my skincare routine has changed so much. Clear, radiant skin is my ultimate goal so I really try to keep up with all of my products as well as adjust my routine as I get older. In the past I've tried many creams, serums, ampoules etc. but to be honest with you Guys I haven't really done anything more invasive than that.

PMD PERSONAL MICRODERM

 AT-HOME MICRODERMABRASION TOOL

As a mom of an infant I really don't have much time for beauty appointments and I am pretty bad at keeping up with them so I always prefer doing things on my own at home. That's why I got excited about the opportunity to test out  PMD Personal Microderm which when used long-term helps to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, decreases pore size, fights blemishes & gets rid of any dark spots. Now the coolest thing about PMD Personal Microderm is the claim that it provides the same results as professional, in-office microdermabrasion treatments (which can be pretty pricey).

HOW DOES IT WORKS?

PMD Personal Microderm removes the top layer of dead, dull skin cells using Spinning Discs which are embedded with aluminum oxide crystals that exfoliate away dead, dull cells from the surface of the skin. Suction increases circulation and helps skin’s natural healing process which boosts collagen and elastin leaving skin firm, fresh and radiant. It is suggested to use PMD Personal Microderm once a week (not more often) and promises to show first results as soon as after first treatment. My device came with two caps (one for the face and one for the body) as well as hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial made out of aluminum oxide crystals small and large discs. Different colors offer different intensity. White disc is a beginners training disc and if your skin needs more exfoliation you can use more intense gray, blue and green which is the most coarse out of the three. I currently just switched from the white disc and started using gray one.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION

I made sure to try out the device on my arm first and I am glad I did because I was quite surprised by the powerful suction which took me a few times to get used to. To make the whole process easier make sure you pull the skin taut with your free hand for a smooth glide. I highly recommend watching the PMD official video tutorial on how to use it exactly because it helped me tremendously.

I started with the white training disc and I used that disc for the first 3 treatments. I wanted to make sure I have the technique figured out and my skin feels comfortable enough to move to the gray disc which offers a bit more exfoliation. After I believe the first two treatments my skin was a little red so I made sure to use PMD Recovery Mask or any other deeply hydrating face product afterward. My favorite thing about PMD Personal Microderm is that the process only takes few minutes! It's not complicated nor require any special skill. It's a device that anyone can use and use it effectively.

NOW

I just finished my second treatment using the gray disc and I can say that my skin is definitely used to the whole process by now. I think few more treatments and I will move forward to the next intensity disc which will be the blue color. I am just really taking my time since for me it's a long-term skincare commitment so I am in no rush whatsoever. I want to make sure I observe my skin closely and see how it reacts to each of the treatment.  The immediate results I've noticed are definitely softer and smoother skin, which keeps me very motivated to keep using PMD Personal Microderm.
