Purchased & gifted
When Benefit Cosmetics first came out with their full brow collection I was quite overwhelmed at the number of different products available so I kind of took my time and went as far as getting their brow pencil and volumizing mousse to check out initially.
Recently I was gifted a few other items that I haven't tried before so after testing them for few weeks I decided to create this guide to Benefit Cosmetics eyebrow products which I hope will help you decide which product will suit your dear brows needs the best (because we all know just how important they are =) ).
Precisely, My Brow Pencil ($24) & Goof Proof Brow Pencil ($24)
I did a full review on Precisely, My Brow Pencil before (you can check it out here where I am comparing it with a much cheaper drugstore dupe NYX Micro Pencil). Today I want to focus on the main differences between Precisely, My Brow Pencil and Goof Proof Brow Pencil.
Do I think you need both? Not necessary. If for example, your eyebrows are uneven like mine (one is thicker than the other, higher than the other or just need a few small spots to correct its shape) the more precise pencil will give you more control over the finished eyebrow shape and Goof Proof will take care of the overall filling in and shaping. I find Goof Proof Brow Pencil to require less time and it's a bit less detailed (still precise enough which makes for a great eyebrow tool when you are in a rush or your eyebrows are in overall decent shape). I was pretty surprised at how much I actually liked Goof Proof Brow Pencil, so now I just switch them depending on how much time I want to spend doing my eyebrows.

Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel ($24)
Volumizes, tames & tints brows
I remember a while ago I was watching the QVC segment with Benefit Gimme Brow volumizing mousse and I was SO excited about the results I saw on the model they had on the show. I got it eventually but to be honest it just didn't really didn't do much when it comes to my eyebrow hair appearance (it's more of a finishing product that you apply after a pomade/pencil/shadow) A lot of my friends swear by this product so I think it really depends on the type of hair and eyebrow shape you have. If you have naturally pretty even and shaped eyebrows but ones that need some more dimension I think this gel would add a nice bit of that. Personally, after trying a few different brands with this kind of product I came to the conclusion that my long-haired eyebrows just do better with different types of brow products.

24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel ($24)
Shaping & setting gel for brows
My eyebrows hair is pretty long and I am terrified of trimming it myself, therefore, I am always on a lookout for a product that will tame it and keep it in place. In the past, I've been really loving Sephora Brow Freeze in shade Clear (loved the easy to use pencil form as well as the formula was just right). It's almost impossible to find it anywhere any more so I was really enthusiastic about trying Benefit Cosmetics 24-Brow Setter Brow Gel which basically has the same idea behind it. It is a clear gel that has a nice flexible, flake-free formula that helps eyebrows stay in place. I really like it and use it either before I do my eyebrows or as a finishing product depending on if I am using a pencil, shadow or pomade.
Drugstore dupe: Pixi Brow Tamer
Summary:
Benefit Cosmetics offers even more eyebrow products so I think it's really great that a brand has dedicated so much time and effort to provide all types of different products for different brow needs. I found the brow pencils and clear taming gel to work the best for me. The entire collection very often goes on sale as well as you can often find value sets which I highly recommend if you want to give it a try and don't want to pay a full price!
