If you love plumping lip products with a glossy finish, Buxom Cosmetics lip glosses and lip creams are some of my longtime favorites. I’ve been using Buxom lip products for years, and they’re still some of the glosses I find myself coming back to.
Both formulas have beautiful shine, a comfortable plumping effect, and one of my favorite scents in lip products. I also love how many shades Buxom offers, from everyday nudes and pinks to deeper berries and warmer tones.
In the video below, I’m swatching 18 Buxom Lip Cream and Lip Polish shades on my lips so you can see how the colors and finishes actually look when worn.
Watch the full Buxom lip swatch video below to see all 18 shades up close.
Buxom Lip Cream vs. Lip Polish
Buxom offers several lip formulas, but two of the ones I’ve used and loved are the Full-On Plumping Lip Cream and Full-On Plumping Lip Polish.
The Lip Cream gives you that beautiful glossy look without the sparkle, making it a great choice if you prefer a smooth, creamy finish.
The Lip Polish has the high-shine finish Buxom is known for, but with more shimmer and sparkle. It catches the light beautifully and makes the lips look extra glossy.
Both formulas have Buxom’s signature cooling and tingling sensation. You can definitely feel it after applying, but I personally find the plumping effect comfortable to wear.
Formula & Feel
One of the reasons I’ve continued to enjoy Buxom lip products is the texture. The formulas have enough substance to stay on the lips and create that really shiny, juicy look without feeling uncomfortable.
They also have that distinctive sweet Buxom scent that I’ve always loved. If you’ve used Buxom glosses before, you’ll probably recognize it immediately.
The combination of shine and the cooling sensation gives the lips a slightly fuller appearance, which is one of the reasons these have remained such popular plumping lip products.
Buxom Lip Swatches
I swatched 18 Buxom lip shades in the video above so you can compare them on the lips rather than relying only on product photos.
The shades featured in my Buxom lip swatch video are:

There’s a really nice variety of shades here, from pale pinks and everyday nudes to warmer browns and deeper berry tones. Some of the shades can look quite similar in the tube, which is why I think seeing them actually swatched on the lips is especially helpful.

Are Buxom Lip Glosses Worth It?
Buxom continues to be one of my longtime favorite brands for glossy lip products. I love the high-shine finish, the subtle plumping effect, and especially the huge selection of shades.
If you prefer a smooth glossy finish, I’d look at the Lip Creams. If you love a little shimmer and sparkle, the Lip Polishes are beautiful.

Essence Makeup offers many great mascaras that are among my favorite but guys, Lash Princess totally killed it for me. I still can't get over how absolutely amazing this mascara is. It gives my lashes so much volume and length and it only cost $4.99!

For this holiday look I used Essence satin touch blush in shade satin love. This blush has a great pigmentation and it blends effortlessly. It complements my complexion and adds a natural color to my cheeks.

You can use Colorista on both blonde as well as darker hair colors and since it doesn't have bleach in it, it won't mess with your original hair color. You just simply shake, spray and allow few minutes for the product to dry. Make sure to not spray too much at first, the color becomes more vibrant as it dries.

Depending on my mood I either choose the satin, matte or metallic finish and for today's post I am having a little fun with the boldest out of the three which is color 336 from the metallic line!
