Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Review!

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara Review!
I've received free sample from Influenster

Generally in the past, the last thing I would splurge on was a high-end mascara, but recently a lot has changed and I am definitely more open to try and love a bit more expensive mascaras. I have received Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume as a free sample from Influenster (you Guys NEED to join it! You can get lots of  fun, free products and you don't have to have a blog either to be a member), which I was absolutely excited about trying.

When it comes to me and mascaras, it usually takes me some time to really like a particular one. I will use it for a while then switch to another one, then reach for it again and suddenly I realize, wow this product really works and make my usually short and barely there lashes, full and long. That's how it was with Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara. I have had it for a while, worn it here and there and then about a week ago I start using it every single day cause I really loved the volume it gave my lashes. You can see before and after two coats picture below.

No mascara,  after one coat, after second coat

I usually try to do a mascara test-on without any eye makeup, so you can really see the before/after difference. The only thing I would suggest is to apply Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir's first layer pretty thin and then add the second with normal amount of product. I usually try to remove the excess of product from the brush before any mascara application anyways, and that "habit" really helps me to avoid ending up with too much product on lashes, which results in that clumpy, spider looking lashes.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara gave my lashes tons of volume and length. I did have to make sure to take off the excess product from the brush before the first coat, but overall I think it does what it promises. I am also a big fan of the simple and elegant packaging.

What is your favorite mascara at the moment?
Have a great day,
