If you Guys follow me on Instagram you've probably seen my self-tanners "haul" photo from Ulta with some St. Moriz and St. Tropez products. I will write separate review on St. Moriz self tanners soon, but today I wanted to focus on everyday self-tanning body lotions: Jergens Natural Glow, which is probably one of the most popular drugstore self-tanning body lotions out there and it cost on average around $7, and St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion, which I believe is one of the newer St. Tropez skincare products and it cost around $30 (!).
I usually do not splurge like that on a self-tanning body lotion but St. Tropez' packaging was just so sleek and I needed an everyday skincare product that I can use when I skip my self-tanners. I love St. Tropez self-tanning mousse, so I thought it will be totally worth the money.
First Impression & Packaging
St. Tropez' is the definite winner here. The packaging is sleek, elegant, and mess-free. Not that I have anything against Jergens Natural Glow, it's just a personal preference. Also St. Tropez has a very pleasant scent to the lotion which unfortunately disappears after the product dries out on the skin.
Texture
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Body Lotion has a very creamy, almost like bb cream kind of texture. It is on a thicker side and unfortunately what follows that, is that it's harder to blend. I had to use quite a bit of product to cover my whole body and then I ended up with way too much of it that I had to remove using paper tissues because it was just sitting on top of the skin and was hard to blend out quickly. It also doesn't absorb fast enough which I believe it's because of the thick texture, which in the end cost me standing for a good 20 minutes after application and waiting for the product to dry out. It was not a good experience as you can imagine.
Don't get me wrong, I do love St. Tropez products but with this one, I think they should either thin it out or make it easier to blend because it's just very uncomfortable to use. I think self-tanning body lotion should take less time than your self-tanning session once or twice a week and in this case, it was the other way, unfortunately.
Jergens Natural Glow body lotion has a thinner texture comparing to St. Tropez Gradual Tan lotion and it is easier to apply and blend out. It took me only a few minutes for it to absorb into my skin.
When it comes to that self-tanner smell that no one likes, with these two I could smell both products the next morning, but as the day went by both times the scent went away with help of some fragrance mists ;).

Self Tanning Results
Both products deliver a great amount of color, which I would say is more on the warmer side, but it's not too orangey. I was happy with both but St. Tropez color lasted on me longer than Jergens, which I believe might have been caused by the amount of product I used with St. Tropez lol. When it comes to any streaks, I think whenever you exfoliate your skin and really pay attention to the application and blending process it is very hard to end up with streaks of any kind in general. From my experience with these two, whenever I had something weird going on it was my fault, because I either missed a spot or didn't blend out enough.
Summary:
Looking at the price range of both products, I will most likely not be repurchasing St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted body lotion, because I am just not a fan of its thick texture and it took forever to absorb into my skin. Both products deliver very similar results and when you look at paying $7 or $30, the nicer packaging or initial pleasant scent is just not worth it. Jergens Natural Glow is the winner!
